Michigan Waters of Lake Erie from Detroit River to North Cape MI is a nearshore coastal water reached from boat ramps in Michigan and Ohio. SeaStatus lists 20 or more ramps that launch into it, the closest being William C. Sterling State Park at 0.1 mi.
Nearshore water is scored mostly on wind and wave height, with wave steepness and the tidal current counting too. A current running against the wind is treated as worse than either one alone. Wind, and waves where it reports them, come from NDBC buoy 45200, and tide predictions come from NOAA station 9063090.
